Control plays a central role within the human condition. On the macro level we can observe it through politics. On the micro level we can observe it through our daily habits. It even shaped philosophy creating Stoicism. This is because life is naturally unpredictable and chaotic.

My work explores the tensions between control and unpredictability. Photography has a rich link to the human experience and that’s why I tend to use it more than any other medium. I have to physically be somewhere in time and space. It’s also layered and opens up a variety of ways in which I can creatively explore it as a medium. The camera controls time, time controls me, and I control the camera.
