When a photo is taken, the light that hits the sensor is now light from the past. This means that a photograph is essentially a document of a memory. If the photograph captures the light truthfully then the photograph is more integral than a memory. That's why we like to document our lives as a way to hold on to these moments because memories alone can become distorted. I've been experimenting with my photography so that I can photograph the world in its transient state. Yet allowing my images to reflect my experience as a memory rather than that of reality.
